"Amy Friend has worked with Axle our 12 year old Jack Russel in her capacity as a physiotherapist over the past few months. Our approach to his first treatment was non specific as it did not relate to an injury or concern, just supportive for our aging friend. Axle has previously ruptured both cruciate ligaments on his hind legs. One has been surgically repaired 2 years ago, the other has been allowed to heal and be managed on the advice of our vet.
After just the first treatment Amy gave Axle a new lease on life. He was playful and mobile in a way we had not seen for years. We have consistently seen increased flexibility and strength with his movements and even some increase to endurance for his short walks.
He is also able to mobilise up and down stairs with agility. He has not mobilised in this way since before his injuries mentioned above.
Through observation in the session Amy intuitively knew which parts of Axle needed more or less attention. The attention Amy gave to Axle’s physical as well as emotional needs demonstrated exceptional insight to canine psychology as well as physicality.
Axle demonstrated tolerance in our first visit for treatment. On our second and further visits he was visibly excited and interactive with Amy throughout the treatment.
Amy openly discussed the treatment and the anatomy and physiology of the muscle and connections she was working on with transparency and with acknowledgement of my level of understanding. The time taken to engage me as the owner and what to expect from the treatment – during and after – demonstrates both thorough clinical and working knowledge of owners and their animals.
I was thoroughly impressed with Amy’s professionalism and knowledge base throughout Axle’s treatments. My dog is living the life he deserves with increased mobility and relief from pain we were not aware was impacting his everyday life.
I would highly recommend Amy as a dog physiotherapist based on the interactions and results I have seen in the past few months.
I am happy to be contacted personally to support my recommendation."

"Amy treated my two horses in the summer of 2019 before leaving for Australia.
Each visit Amy was always very particular about finding out as much as she could about the horses. She took her time to thoroughly examine them and understand the level of work they were in and their history.
She was really good at communicating with me, letting me know at each stage what she was working on and why, and how it would help the horse.
After each session Amy took time to see them walk and trot up and write up notes on what she had done and any exercises that I needed to undertake.
I would use her all the time if she were in the UK and would have no hesitation in recommending her services to anyone."
